It's been a long, hot summer and I'm ready for it to cool off! It's all I can do to not think about how HOT it's been and still is, and just focus on this post. But, the fans are on high and I've got an icy cold glass of water next to me. I can do this. Here we go!
Today's post, and the next few, will be focused on some juicy cool treats. They're seriously D E L I C I O U S. They're are some of my favorite snacks, even in the dead of winter.
Yep, just like the fast food place. Our OJ happens to be in the mall food court and I remember as a kid my mom would buy me one as soon as we got here so I'd behave while she was in the dressing rooms. It worked, and I'm still hooked. I like to grab one every now and then when I'm at the mall, but now I make them at home too! I snagged this recipe from The Taylor House blog. I love it because the ingredients and steps are so simple!
Pour the milk, water, vanilla, orange juice concentrate and sugar concentrate into a blender for 30 seconds.
Add the ice and blend for another minute until the ice is blended.
Pour into cups and serve.
There you have it! So simple, and you could easily substitute some of the ingredients in this recipe if you're looking for a healthier option (fresh OJ vs. concentrate, Splenda vs. sugar).
Try it out and post your pictures on our Facebook page! Be sure to check back and see what other yummy treat recipes I'll be posting over the next few days!
